Another "leftovers" project.

Amoungst the many scraps I found in the Bargain Garden this year was a bag of diamond shaped patches that appeared to be left over from a Lonestar project.  There was no rhyme or reason to the number and color of patches so I just made four patches and then sewed them together for an All over effect.
The fabrics were fun and colorful so it was a pleasure working with them.  I thought the odd angle of the diamonds might be difficult to work with but it seemed to me no different than a regular 4-patch.
There were just enough patches to make a 36" x 48" lap quilt for the Wheel Chair bound Vets project. A rather loud and busy covering for a lap but perhaps more entertaining to look at too?!
Have a good week!
Cheers, Claire W.

  1. Great use of someone's leftovers! I'd have thought the diagonal would make for difficult piecing... Should have known it'd be no problem for YOU!!

  4. Works for me! I like the way the fabric with the busiest print is clustered towards the bottom.
