The Pajaro Valley Quilt Association Fair is just a week away and I'm in pretty good shape! I just have one quilt to finish and that one is on the quilt frame so I'm thinking there's a good chanse I can finish it! In the mean time here's a pic of yet another Scrap Strategies quilt that will be in the show.
This one was inspired by a bunch of solid scraps left over from several "modern" quilt projects. My Scrap Strategies are fun and easy, it is my most popular class! I have lots of class samples for this class because they are so much fun to make. Check out the quilt gallery for more examples. They have lots of imaginative names like Batik Scraps #1, 2 and 3 and Purple, Green and Blue Scraps.
After awhile it's hard to come up with original names, lol.
Have a great weekend! Cheers, Claire W.
I just saw your quilt on the sidebar at Quilty Folk and had to click over to see it properly: I like it a lot, especially the changes of scale in the two borders.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I hope you do well at the fair!
ReplyDeleteI like this one a lot too. I especially like that blue square. It looks like the little black is folded under and peeking out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! Love that inner border of smaller scraps. Something to keep in mind.:)
ReplyDeleteClaire, can't wait to see all your quilts in the show!! Hope to see you there on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteLove this one.
