Block Challenge and Small Quilt Challenge

Every year my local guild, Pajaro Valley Quilt Association,  (Santa Cruz county CA) has a couple of challenges for the members to be displayed at our Fair.
This years Block challenge was really fun!  Here are all the resulting blocks.
Here's a pic of my contribution. You can read more about the guidelines for the challenge and my contribution here.
PVQA also has a Small Quilts Challenge.  You can read more how that challenge worked here.
There were 40 participants in the challenge.  That's a pretty good turn out for a guild our size (around 300 active members)!
Here are a few pix of my favorites!
By Nicole Pullman
On the left is Pat Williams quilt and on the right is Kristine Ebersole's.
Even with these few pix you can see the wide variety of approaches!  I was quite frustrated by the challenge but I think these folks did a great job working with what they were given!
More on the general exhibit in a few days!
Cheers, Claire W.

  1. You have a very creative guild. Love all the interpretation of the house blocks.
